The Malkatech Tablets
The Malkatech tablets are a series of ancient texts that preserve the ancient eras of history. Within their text, scientists and modern historians were able to solve numerous mysteries that were previously elusive.
Numbering over 1,200 stone tablets, the Malkatech covers ancient legend, medicine, economic analogs, scientific knowledge, and lost techniques of space travel. Many aspects of modern technology and medicine were shaped after the discovery of the Tablets in the year 14,820 Ce.
Discovery
Current Era Archaeologists had a general idea that there was some kind of vast documentation of the ancient world. The method of documentation was unknown at the time, until investigations led to a potential location of such writings.
During the excavation of the ancient Vancouran sites inside the Golden Era metro, archaeologists discovered the foundation of the Hall of Man. The tablets were wrapped in tea cloth at first and nearly archived as rolls of fabric. It is believed to have been disguised to prevent its destruction at the hands of Malderane's followers during the Sacking of Vancoura. Upon further study, it became clear they were tablets of text written in polished stone. Artificial intelligence speedily translated the ancient writings, allowing exuberant amounts of discoveries to be made within a short period. Scientists tested many of the discoveries to find that the written analogs were real and could be replicated in the modern era.
More solemn historical discoveries within the text were ancient scholars' testimony to the wicked deeds of Malderane, the fall of the Golden Empire, and life under the Malderane Era. Some elements of the Malkatech are hidden to protect it from ancient treasures being plundered. Or, the vast war graves of the Golden Era from being desecrated by archaeologists. Some argue that the G.A hides key tablets to give their military an edge over its' adversaries, protecting long-lost war weapons from falling into the wrong hands.
Scientific Impacts
After reviewing the contents of the tablets, key sections of the stone book gave a great, detailed analysis of the functions of the Zebratarian Golden Empire. With this knowledge, Scientists were able to apply groundbreaking methods that were lost in the fall of the Golden Era. The biggest of these breakthroughs was the ability to create short-distance portals.
Power stations were made safer and more powerful. Intergalactic trade was made more efficient. Construction was revolutionized and streamlined. Numerous diseases were eradicated from humans and other sentient races. Artificial intelligence was able to become even more sentient, and robots saw new leaps and bounds never recorded in the Current Era.
Historical Discoveries
Within the Malkatech's writings, mysteries were unraveled and the truth laid bare. Many texts explained the history behind Malderane's potential origins, the reasoning for the appearance of Zebratarians, and the fate of the majestic and magical beings. Some tablets also expound on the Chyme Lords and confirm that they were indeed the first humans.
The writings date back as far as testimonies from the Malderane Era and as recent as the last decades of the Golden Era. The final two tablets are notably written with less precision. And the tablets themselves are not polished or decorated, as in the previous installments. The final paragraph of the Malkatech showcases the human will to survive. It's the words of a dying scribe stating that his last action would be securing the Malkatech and protecting it from the Mazzacarians. He acknowledges that he is the last one to write in the ancient tablets. And he beckons to the future, stating: "May the actions of men from ages past yield fruit for the future of our race. For this, I give my life, and close out my final prayer to see to it that this may be done and secure hope for all of mankind. Charish this treasure, man of a different era. If your eyes behold the beginning and the end of the Malkatech, know that all you do understand will be made clear."
